Writing a Business Plan Loan Packaging
If you are serious about committing to the growth and development of your business you will need a written business plan. This series, Writing A Business Plan, will help you understand the different functions of your business plan. A template and an outline to help you write your plan are provided. An added benefit is the understanding of the parts of a plan that you will gain during the program. This is particularly important if you need to explain your business to a lender. The series is divided into four weeks of educational instruction and homework as outlined by the following topics:
Week #1 - Define your market; Understand your product/service; Describe your market; Define your mission statement
Week #2 - Review management and human resource issues; Identify competition; Conduct a SWOT analysis; Review your business relative to your market
Week #3 - Understand the importance of financials for your business; Review Balance Sheets and Profit and Loss Statements; Create a Sales Expenses, and Profit forecast
Week #4 - Discover how to present your plan to a lender and how to package the loan and yourself to have your expectations realized.
