The Veterans Corporation has partnered with the leading provider
of business education, The Kauffman Center for Entrepreneurial
Leadership, to bring area veterans two V.E.T. Fast-
Trac™ programs. This is being coordinated by the Collier
County FastTrac Coalition of the University of Florida’s University
Extension Service. Programs are scheduled for Broward,
Lee, Collier, Miami-Dade, Hendry, and Charlotte counties.
FastTrac™ (www.fasttrac.org) has been offered at the regular
tuition in south Florida for 7 years. 70,000 entrepreneurs
have graduated nationwide.

Veterans who complete either of the programs will receive
a Gateway computer system.
V.E.T/ FastTrac™ Planning is a three-hour per week, twelveweek
program for people who currently own a business and
would like to find ways to improve profitability, grow or
develop an exit strategy. Participants will explore the essential
tools of small business success, including understanding financial
information and creating affordable marketing plans. Private
consultation is included. The special veterans’ tuition is
$350 and two people from the same business may attend
for one tuition. Only one Gateway computer system will be awarded.
V.E.T/ FastTrac™ New Venture is a three-hour per week,
ten-week program, for people thinking about starting a business.
Participants explore the key elements necessary for testing
the feasibility of a potential new business. The special veterans’
tuition is $250 and two people representing the same
new business concept may attend for one tuition but only one
Gateway computer system will be awarded.
