The Optimist Club of Naples works for the improvement and betterment of the youth of Collier County. Our logo includes "Friend of Youth" in it. We offer sports programs, educational programs, safety programs for children in grade school and middle school. We also award a college scholarship to one senior at each of the Naples public high schools each year. We have been involved in the Naples community for over 40 years. |
| Job Description: |
We are looking for young men and women to volunteer their time to help coach youth teams in our club fall or spring soccer programs (ages 5 - 14)our middle school basketball and middle school volleyball programs. During the appropriate season the teams schedule one practice night per week (as determined by the coach) and the team plays one game on a weekend. Volleyball is held at Barron Collier HS. Basketball is at Golden Gate HS and soccer is played at the Vineyards Community Park. Training programs and clinics are provided for our volunteer coachs. |
