Project H.E.A.R.T.S. mission is to inspire a culture that restores hope, promote help-seeking behaviors and build compassion and connectedness among communities, families and individuals through Hope, Education, Art, Recreation, Therapy/Counseling and Service. The team’s purpose is finding the beauty in everyone and to provide inspiration, hope and a sense of purpose. We understand that suicide is a journey. We also understand that any little or big contribution we provide can stop that journey, not only to save a life but to fill that life with joy, compassion and a sense of togetherness. Every little bit counts and each day we commit to do something good for someone. Anyone. PHers are helpers, promoters, motivators, lovers, rockers, rappers, athletes, teachers, students and more. We are a community and with each little contribution we do together we can make a BIG difference. Project H.E.A.R.T.S., a non-profit organization, has been at the forefront in a wide range of suicide prevention initiatives within the last year. Each are designed to reduce loss of life from suicide and improve the quility of life. We are investing in anti-bullying campaigns in middle and high schools, educating gatekeepers and college students, inspire with music and art, innovative demonstration projects, important public policy, and networking through local communities, media, and the web. We are expanding our assistance to people whose lives have been affected by suicide, reaching out to offer support and offering opportunities to become involved in prevention. With a suicide attempt to occur every minute of every day in the United States and over 34,000 live lost each year, the importance of Project H.E.A.R.T.S. mission has never been greater or our work more urgent. |
