Welcome to “On the Wing”, the on-line newsletter of EaglesConnect. For the 10th year anniversary of FGCU we thought it appropriate to revamp On the Wing to reflect our ongoing commitment and dedication to bringing you the latest news, activities and endeavors surrounding Service-Learning and the communities we work with. On the Wing will be updated regularly to recognize student, faculty and staff involvement, highlight service-learning opportunities, provide information and serve as a link between EaglesConnect and the FGCU community. In case you haven’t guessed EaglesConnect is the nickname of the service-learning program and as the name implies, the Eagles (that’s us) are connecting – to new learning experiences, to the community and to each other. One of the ways we connect is through this newsletter (and our website). Visit us often so you can get the scoop. Or better yet sign up for an electronic subscription to On the Wing.
Students, faculty or staff who would like to share their service-learning experiences with others are invited to submit articles to On the Wing. Please remember that confidentiality is a major concern. We ask that you delete any personally identifying information about the agency or organization clients before submission.
