Negotiation and Mediation Skills Workshop
FORT MYERS, FL - Nonprofit and government employees are invited to attend a one-day workshop "Negotiation and Mediation Skills" presented by the Florida Institute of Government at Florida Gulf Coast University from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 17. The workshop will be at the Center for Professional Development at Edison Community College.
This seminar will help you learn and practice new skills of mediation that can be applied directly and immediately on the job. The focus will be on ways to produce more positive outcomes and stronger relationships in your personal and professional life.
Objectives will be:
1. The role of mediation and a mediator
2. A mediation demonstration
3. How to deal with an impasse
4. Issues that can and can't be mediated
5. How to develop trust and cooperation
6. Handling the reluctant party
7. How to get what you want and need
Dr. David Kelley is instructor for the program.
