9/28/2001
FORT MYERS, FL – The Florida Gulf Coast University Small Business Development Center, along with Northwestern Mutual Financial Network, Markham, Norton Stroemer & Company, and Kent Skrivan, JD, will co-sponsor a free panel discussion for small business owners who are considering positioning their business for their exit, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 25 at the FGCU Center for Leadership Innovation. A light lunch will be served.
Panel members for the “Planning an Exit and Succession Strategy” discussion are Nancy Ross, CLU, ChFC from Northwestern Mutual Financial Network; David Fenelon, CPA, of Markham, Norton Stroemer and Company; Kent Skrivan, JD; and Butzel Long.
Questions that small business owners can ask themselves when considering their decision to exit are:
·Is your business less fun now than three years ago?
·Do you think of selling your business more often than once a month?
·Do you find yourself complaining more than once a week?
·Do you ask yourself more than once a weekend “How can I afford a happy retirement?”
·Do you often wonder “What is my business worth?”
If the answer is “yes” more than once, it may be advisable to attend this free panel discussion, lunch included, about positioning your business for your exit.
The Center for Leadership Innovation is located in the Walden Center in Bonita Springs, three miles south of Corkscrew Road, just north of Bogart’s Restaurant (the ship). For more information or to RSVP, call Vicki at the Center at (941) 948-4040.
