Local Expert Discusses Anthrax Tomorrow on Radio Show
FORT MYERS, FL - Florida Gulf Coast University's monthly radio series Regional Outlook will feature a conversation with Southwest Florida's foremost authority on bioterrorism, Dr. Mark A. Neuman, Ph.D., ABMM, FAAM. The show airs at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24 on WGCU-FM 90.1. Neuman is the Director of Infectious Diseases and Immunology Division at Diagnostic Services Inc. Laboratories (DSI), an entity of the NCH Healthcare System.
Dr. Neuman holds a doctorate in medical microbiology and immunology from the University of Georgia and he completed a residency and fellowship at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He has extensive experience and expertise in biological warfare preparedness and action.
Next week, Dr. Neuman will present "The Emerging Threat of Bioterrorism: A Medical and Public Health Perspective," from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31 in Howard Hall Room 111.
