Caregivers Invited to Alzheimer's Mini-Conference at FGCU
FORT MYERS, FL - Florida Gulf Coast University's Department of Research and Sponsored Programs, Center for Positive Aging, and Gerontology Club, along with the Alzheimer's Association, are sponsoring an Alzheimer's mini-conference from noon to 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6 in Howard Hall Room 111. Alzheimer's caregivers and the media are invited to attend.
The conference will focus on how researchers can help caregivers provide better care. Director of medical and scientific affairs of the National Alzheimer's Association, Jenny Ward Robinson, will be keynote speaker. Major Alzheimer's organizations in Southwest Florida will serve on an expert panel, including Lee Memory Clinic, Dubin Center and Naples Alzheimer's Resource Center.
The program is limited to the first 100 paid registrants. Registration is $10 and three Continuing Education Units are available for $5 more to eligible participants.
