Math Review Course for GMAT Offered at FGCU
FORT MYERS, FL - College graduates interested in pursuing a master’s degree in business are encouraged to register for the mini GMAT Math Review Course offered from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on five consecutive Thursdays beginning April 25 at Florida Gulf Coast University. Deadline to register is April 18.
The course will provide an intense review of the mathematical skills required to score well on the Graduate Management Admission Test, covering those test sections required for admission to the FGCU. Math skills necessary for admission include arithmetic, algebra and geometry. The course is not intended to replace a full semester course in any of these areas.
Jim Propert is instructor for the course. He has taught all levels of mathematics for 21 years and coaches Cape Coral High School’s nationally ranked math team. In addition, he teaches a preparation course that he implemented for the quantitative section of the SAT.
Propert was named Lee County Math Teacher of the Year in 1993, Cape Coral Teacher of the Year in 1994 and was chosen by the 1996 graduates of CCHS as commencement speaker and in 2001 as co-commencement speaker. He has a B.A. in mathematics from Lycoming College in Pennsylvania and an M.Ed. from the University of South Florida.
The course is limited to a minimum and maximum of 10 and 28 participants. Registration is $60 and is not refundable. The latest edition of Barron’s GMAT Review with disk is required and available in the FGCU Bookstore. Class will be on Thursdays, April 25, May 2, 9, 16 and 23 in McTarnaghan Hall Room 204.
