Student Team Vies for Win in American Advertising Federation Competition
Twelve Florida Gulf Coast University students will compete in the American Advertising Federation’s National Student Advertising Competition April 20 at the Museum of Science and Industry in Tampa. Bank of America is the 29th corporate sponsor of the event where students compete by developing new and innovative approaches that target the sponsor’s audience. The teams plan media, creative development, production, promotions, special events and sponsorships into a 12-month marketing plan that the students then pitch to the client in a 20-minute presentation. More than 6,000 students from 210 campuses are competing for the chance to present their work as finalists at the AAF national conference June 6-8 in Miami.
