Renaissance Academy Offers Asteriods Course

FORT MYERS, FL - “Near-Earth Asteroids” is an exciting course offered by Florida Gulf Coast University’s Renaissance Academy at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 3 at the FGCU Naples Center.
Led by FGCU professor Michael Fauerbach, the non-credit class features insight about these much discussed and potentially hazardous space rocks, what the near and long-term risks are for our planet, and future research at FGCU and the Evelyn L. Egan Observatory.
Course fee is $5 for Renaissance Academy members and $10 for others.
FGCU created the Renaissance Academy on the premise that learning should never stop and that keeping the mind intellectually, creatively and culturally active fundamentally enhances the quality of life.
As part of FGCU’s commitment to serving the Southwest Florida region, the Renaissance Academy offers courses both on campus and at off-site locations.
