FGCU Appoints Kramer Director of New Art Gallery
FORT MYERS, FL - Florida Gulf Coast University announced today that Kate Kramer, Ph.D., is appointed director of the new FGCU Arts Complex art gallery.
Kramer, a full-time visiting faculty member for a second year at FGCU, was associate curator of the Naples M
useum of Art from 1998 to 2001. Her duties included design, implementation and installation of programming for the museum’s inaugural year, participation in fundraising efforts, and supervision and training for the volunteer Docent Program.

In addition to teaching 19th and 20th century art history and art history survey courses at FGCU, which begin with pre-history and conclude with contemporary times, Kramer is responsible for instituting exhibition programming and related art events in the new 1800-square foot art gallery.
Kramer earned a doctorate in modern studies in 1995 from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and has over 10 years of experience in art management and promotion.
