Nobile to Play for Eagle Baseball Program
11/18/2002

FORT MYERS, FL - Florida Gulf Coast University announced that South Plantation High School pitcher Frankie Nobile signed a National Letter of Intent to play baseball for the Eagles.

Nobile is a four-year letterman at SPHS and holds single season records for wins, strikeouts, innings pitched and fewest walks allowed. An All-State and All-Broward County selection last season, Nobile was also named Pitcher of the Year by SPHS.

Nobile credits FGCU head coach Dave Tollet and pitching coach Steve McKee for showing tremendous interest and confidence in him, which is a major reason why Nobile signed with the Eagles.

“FGCU has all of the elements for me to grow as a student, a person and a ball player,” Nobile said.
