CEPRI Holds Next Meeting in Southwest Florida; Public Invited to Attend

FORT MYERS, FL - Florida Gulf Coast University will host the next meeting of the Florida Council for Education Policy, Research and Improvement from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 12 in the Whitaker Hall Sprint Room.

CEPRI () is a citizen board for independent policy research and analysis, housed under the Florida Office of Legislative Services. The Council is required by the legislature to conduct and review education research, provide analysis on education progress, and provide evaluation of education issues of statewide concern.

As part of the meeting’s agenda, President William C. Merwin will make a presentation on the regional Alliance of Education Leaders (), a consortium that provides a forum to identify educational issues that affect students in Southwest Florida and to develop solutions to them.

CEPRI meetings are open to the public and agenda items by be taken out of order at the discretion of the chairman, with the concurrence of the council.
