FORT MYERS, FL - The Renaissance Academy of Florida Gulf Coast University is hosting a study and travel excursion to Tuscany, Italy, in September and the public of Southwest Florida is invited to join the group for a “luxuriously different experience for mind and senses.”
Travelers will spend seven nights in a Tuscan villa at the four-star Il Borgo Resort Village on a 17th century estate.
A private air-conditioned motor coach and guide will take participants to Florence, Pisa, Siena, Lucca, San Gimignano, Certaldo and the Chianti wine country of Greve, Volpaia, Castellina and Montefioralle where they will experience art, photography, conversational Italian, Tuscan cooking and Chianti wine classes.
Travelers will be treated to dinners in authentic Tuscan restaurants and informal trattorias including the medieval private castle of Santa Maria Novella.
