Five-County Networking Event Held for Women Business Owners; Attendees Encouraged to Bring Plenty of Business Cards
4/30/2003

FORT MYERS, FL - The Small Business Development Center of Florida Gulf Coast University and the Women’s Network of Collier County are sponsoring a free networking event for women business owners within the Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry and Lee counties market 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday, May 15 at the FGCU Naples Center, 1010 Fifth Ave. S.

The event will feature free networking time with complimentary refreshments and plenty of door prizes, plus women business owners showcasing their different businesses in a trade show environment.

“Women are always great at networking,” SBDC assistant director Suzanne Specht said.

“We decided to offer our facility to host this second annual event in sponsorship with the Women’s Network of Collier County. Over the past few years, we have offered other events, but this is exclusively for women. I expect over 150 women to attend. This will be a productive time to make new contacts, highlight your business and create new opportunities.”

All women business owners are invited and the SBDC encourages everyone to ask other women who might be interested in attending.

Attendees should RSVP to the SBDC at (239) 225-4220.

The SBDC is a non-profit organization funded by the U.S. Small Business Administration and Florida Gulf Coast University. It focuses on free, confidential counseling of small business owners, educational seminars and workshops, and assisting business owners to develop plans for their financial needs.

For more information, contact Specht at (239) 225-4217.
