Naples Financial Analysts Award Three Scholarships to Benefit Deserving Students
FORT MYERS, FL - The Naples Financial Analysts Society will award scholarships to Fort Myers finance seniors Nathan Chouinard, Susan Tomkiewicz and Sandra Whitmer during the NFAS monthly meeting at noon, Tuesday, May 13, in the Whitaker Hall Sprint Room at Florida Gulf Coast University.
A written essay submitted by each applicant, a personal interview with NFAS members and scholastic achievement were the selection criteria used in judging the awards.
The NFAS created the FGCU scholarships to help identify, assist and reward motivated and deserving finance majors who are planning careers in investment-related fields. Recipients are required to maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0.
The NFAS is a member chapter of the Association for Investment Management and Research, a worldwide organization that includes more than 47,000 investment professionals from 98 countries, and provides leadership in investment education, professional standards and advocacy programs including the development and administration of the Chartered Financial Analyst, or CFA, designation.
