PSEP/Scholars Club at FGCU Hosts First High Tea, Shoe Fashion Show Scholarship Fundraiser
FORT MYERS, FL - The Public Schools Enrichment Partnership's Scholars Club at Florida Gulf Coast University invites the public to attend the first "High Tea & Shoe Fashion Show" from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 21 at the Club at Grandézza to raise funds for educational awards and college scholarships.
"The 'High Tea & Shoe Fashion Show' is a fundraiser and magnificent way for community members and leaders to join in celebrating the academic achievement of Scholars Club student members," PSEP/Scholars Club executive director Deborah Dahlmanns said.
"It promises to be entertaining and educational, and fun-filled with traditional tea service and featuring chic fashions from Caché women's apparel, Lillie Rubin, Zola's Bridal Boutique, and stylish shoes from Nine West."
Fashions will be modeled by students from the FGCU Scholars Club, along with community leaders and local women such as McDonald Financial Group/Key Bank vice president Karen Gudknecht and Woodward, Pires & Lombardo attorney Beth Krier.
Vice president of Golf & Electric Vehicles Inc. Dian Brownell and vice president of Orion Bank-Naples Susan Erb serve on the event committee.
Scholars Club is a community-backed partnership between public schools and FGCU. An educational and motivational organization, Scholars Club provides assistance and enrichment opportunities to 2,000 at-risk, minority and multicultural students, grades K-16 in Southwest Florida.
