WHAT "Locks of Love" event to benefit the nonprofit organization Locks of Love. The event provides free haircuts with a donation of 10 inches or more of healthy hair. A manicurist will be available as well as a number of raffle items. Salon partners sponsoring this year's event by providing stylists, manicurists and certificates for services include The Touch Spa and Salon, A Cut Above, Michele's Family Hair Care, Chrysalid's Salon, Great Clips and Total Look Hair.

WHERE Student Union Lobby
WHY The event gathers donations of hair and financial support for Locks of Love, a nationally recognized nonprofit organization based in Lake Worth, Fla., that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children with medical hair loss. Founded in 1997, the organization has helped over 1,000 children. The custom-fitted hair prosthetics are provided for free or on a sliding scale by financial need. COST Free for haircuts of 10 inches or more of hair, and $10 for haircuts of less than 10 inches
