WHO FGCU Florida Institute of Government, for managers and employees from both the private and public sectors
WHAT "Writing and Publishing Winning Newsletters" full-day workshop from the Florida Institute of Government's Writing Programs. The course helps participants plan, write, edit and publish both formal and informal newsletters either printed in hard copy or distributed via the Internet. Attendees learn how to write both hard and soft news, and receive tips for using photography as well as ideas for making the newsletter attractive, readable and understandable. The course includes a comprehensive resource manual with outlines and examples. The class does not cover the technical aspects of electronic newsletter publishing. Participants should be competent composing in Microsoft Word. Lisa Sparks is instructor.
