FGCU Florida Institute of Government Presents "Meeting the Challenges of the Middle Manager" Workshop
5/5/2005
WHO FGCU Florida Institute of Government, for managers and employees from both the private and public sectors
WHAT "Meeting the Challenges of the Middle Manager" full-day workshop from the Florida Institute of Government. The seminar addresses the skills needed to be successful in the multitasking role of middle manager. The course teaches ability alone is not sufficient for success. Middle managers are knowledgeable about their organization and they know how to get things done. Often, they are asked to translate top management's ideas into workable solutions. Middle managers understand the needs of front line workers and bring important issues to the attention of top managers. Middle managers plan, initiate and implement programs, and they motivate and direct employees while always balancing the fine line between the two. Ava Fluty is instructor.
