FGCU Offers Stun-Light Self Defense Courses

FORT MYERS, FL - The Florida Gulf Coast University Weapons and Equipment Research Institute invites criminal justice professionals and students to attend two Stun-Light self defense courses Thursday and Friday, June 2 and 3, at the San Carlos Fire Station to learn about the self defense tool.
Stun-Light is a state of the art electric personal protection device used by people of all sizes and defensive abilities. A three-in-one self-defense instrument, Stun-Light combines a tactical flashlight, stun gun and panic alarm. The course includes hands-on training in the proper use and deployment of the tool.
FGCU offers two basic certification courses, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., Thursday, June 2.
In addition, FGCU offers an instructor certification class Friday, June 3 for participants who attend the basic certification course the previous day.
Registration for the basic course is $195 and includes a free Stun-Light. Registration for both basic and instructor courses is $295.
