WHO     FGCU Florida Institute of Government, for managers and employees from both the private and public sectors

WHAT     "Responding to Workplace Conflict and Negativity" full-day workshop from the Florida Institute of Government's Interpersonal Skills Programs. The program teaches participants simple principles and skills to work through conflict and negativity, and navigate the sometimes stormy waters of workplace relationships. David Kelley is instructor for the course.

·     Use a model that helps interpret a negative conflict in a way that puts the participant in the driver's seat of his or her reactions
·     Overcome defensiveness in the face of conflict
·     Learn to pick and choose battles
·     Create a barrier to others' negativity to keep from getting infected
