WHO     FGCU Florida Institute of Government, for managers and employees from both the private and public sectors

WHAT     "Writing Successful Business Proposals" full-day workshop from the Florida Institute of Government's Writing Programs. The workshop helps participants learn the best way to prepare a proposal, sell products and services, and ensure the message hits the prospect's "hot button." Jim Jacoby is instructor for the course.

     Analyze the prospect and determine the prospect's needs

     Tailor the presentation to the prospect

     Match the features, advantages and benefits of the product or service to the prospect's requirements

     Determine "legal" unfair advantage over the competition

     Write in "plain language"

     Ensure inclusion of what is important and what to leave out in the proposal
