"We are delighted to welcome the ACTION team to the Fort Myers and Southwest Florida community," says Linda Moore, local ACTION team coordinator and Florida Gulf Coast University administrator. The pivotal event is the meeting with the Coalition of Immokalee Workers Sunday, November 13 at the Coalition of Immokalee Workers Center on Third Street in Immokalee. The activities begin at noon and end at 5 p.m. The Coalition of Immokalee Workers will tell their story including the challenges they face. They will lead a walking tour of the farm workers' community. ACTION team members will conduct a community service activity in Immokalee.
