2006 CHICO's Edison Festival of Light Parade

Live coverage starts at 7 PM - FGCU President William Merwin will deliver greeting
WGCU-TV is the official broadcast partner for the 2006 CHICO's Edison Festival of Light Parade. Celebrating its 68th year, the 2006 CHICO's Edison Festival of Light Parade, presented by Sam Galloway Ford, is one of the nation's largest night-time parades and a Southwest Florida tradition. An extravaganza of marching bands, floats, dance teams, drill teams, special units and much, much more, the parade is expected to draw 200,000 people to downtown Fort Myers this year. WGCU Public Media's Amy Tardif and Russell Lewis host this year's festivities, while Mitch Haley and Kathleen Moye provide on-the-street interviews with parade participants, distinguished guests, and attendees.
WGCU-TV presents local audiences with several opportunities to enjoy the Grand Parade festivities: Broadcast Schedule (120 minutes approximate)
