Camp Teaches Children Fundamental Concepts in a Fun and Exciting Way

FORT MYERS, FL - Students entering fourth through eighth grade are invited to participate in "Eagle Adventure Camp," a one-week, all-day camp that instills the quest for knowledge in young minds, in a hands-on laboratory based math and science atmosphere. The all-day session is offered July 24 through July 28, weekdays 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Florida Gulf Coast University in Whitaker Math & Science Center. The first session scheduled for July 17 is now closed.

The setting is friendly and enjoyable with a ratio of one scientist to every ten campers. A team of professionals, dedicated to teaching and learning, will supervise all instructional activities.

Participants will perform activities in the classroom, in the lab, and in the wonderful natural environment surrounding the campus. More than ten different labs and activities introduce fundamental concepts in math and science in a fun and exciting way.

All participants will receive an Eagle Adventure Camp tee shirt and tote bag. For lunch, campers can either buy lunch or bring one from home. In addition, all campers will get to keep their projects.

The camp exposes children to the wonders of science and math in a way they will enjoy and remember.
