FGCU Invites Media to Attend Panel Discussion, Meet Executives from Germany
FORT MYERS, FL - The Center for Leadership and Innovation, under the Lutgert College of Business at Florida Gulf Coast University, invites members of the media to attend a panel discussion 8 a.m., Friday, July 21 in Student Union 213 to learn about The Global Impact of Information Technology on Business.
The panel discussion is part of the annual Executive Master of Business Administration exchange program at FGCU, which hosts 25 executives from Wuerzburg University in Wuerzburg, Germany.
During their stay, the German executives participate in traditional MBA classes such as financial analysis, the American economic system, American organizational practices, as well as several informational technology sessions.
Professors at FGCU teach many of the regular academic sessions. The executive faculty participates in panel discussions and case reviews. The executive faculty represents major Southwest Florida organizations and industries in the area.
"This is an extremely important program for FGCU as well as Southwest Florida," said David Kakkuri, director of Center for Leadership and Innovation. "Our executive faculty develop networks with the German executives during the program with the possibility of business development opportunities."
The program runs July 17 through July 28. Sessions are conducted from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Student Union 213.
The German executives stay in FGCU student housing. In addition to dinners and networking receptions, a tour of the Babcock Ranch and visits to beaches and shopping centers are part of the activities planned during the exchange program.
