FGCU Invites Media to Award Ceremony Honoring Oyster Restoration Project Team

WHAT "Coastal America Partnership" honors FGCU Oyster Restoration Team with a '2006 Partnership Award' for leadership in guiding public restoration of oyster reefs in Southwest Florida estuaries.

WHERE Student Union ballroom
WHY The foundation of the community-based oyster restoration effort is built upon partnerships and community support. The restoration goals have been effectively combined with community education and awareness. In turn a project has been created that community members have taken ownership of and have learned the value of coastal restoration and protection.
