WHO FGCU Florida Institute of Government, for managers and employees from both the private and public sectors

WHAT "Embracing and Integrating Diversity" Half-day workshop from the Florida Institute of Government's Professional Development Series. The course helps participants identify and recognize the change in population demographics, the barriers and challenges they provide, and begin to understand and embrace our role in the process of integrating inclusion as a core organizational value.

WHY To learn how to:

· Recognize individual and organizational biases that can cause conflict

· Identify the various types of diversity in our community and workplace

· Differentiate between accommodation and inclusion

· Develop initial ideas for embracing organizational and community inclusion
