FGCU Professor of Computer Science Receives Over $132,000 Grant to
Build Web-based Real-Time Software Engineering Lab

FORT MYERS, FL - Professor of Computer Science at Florida Gulf Coast University's Lutgert College of Business Janusz Zalewski recently received a $132,031 two-year grant from the National Science Foundation to build a Web-based Real-Time Software Engineering Lab.
"The award will allow us to purchase equipment and to fund five or six computer science students to develop the lab," Zalewski said.
Construction of the lab will coincide with the development of a new undergraduate program in software engineering. The Computer Science and Software Engineering programs will join the U.A. Whitaker School of Engineering in Holmes Hall in fall 2008.
