FGCU Small Business Development Center Presents
"Eighth Annual Entrepreneur's Law School" Jan. 26
FORT MYERS, FL - The Florida Gulf Coast University Small Business Development Center offers an opportunity to interact in hour-long sessions with 21 attorneys, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 26 in the Student Union ballroom, during its eighth annual Entrepreneur's Law School.
Attendees have the opportunity to speak with attorneys and other business professionals about legal issues that are important to the successful management of a small business.
The day consists of concurrent hour-long sessions with attorneys that address the numerous legal aspects of doing business and how to develop strategies to deal with related business challenges, ranging from financial management and tax regulations to business planning, drafting contracts and compliance with employment laws.
Luncheon keynote speaker is attorney and author Alan Becker of Becker and Poliakoff. He discusses his recent book, "There's Always Room at the Top: Eight Secrets of the Super Successful," in which he explores the success secrets of some of the most well-known people. The book teaches that personal, professional and financial fulfillment is achieved through recognizing life-altering opportunities and taking the risks associated with them.
FGCU SBDC developed the Entrepreneur's Law School to benefit local business owners. This year, the Entrepreneur's Law School is sponsored by the law firm of Becker and Poliakoff, KeyBank, and Oswald Trippe and Company.
Full day tuition is $95 pre-registered and $125 paid at the door. Half-day sessions are also available. Participants can choose to attend eight sessions and have lunch with the attorneys. Early registration is now available online at http://cli.fgcu.edu/sbdc.
The Small Business Development Center at Florida Gulf Coast University is partially funded through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
