FGCU Hosts Audubon Speaker to Address Florida Water Crisis
FORT MYERS, FL - Florida Gulf Coast University's Department of Marine Ecological Sciences hosts Cynthia Barnett, keynote speaker at Audubon of Southwest Florida's Annual Meeting, 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, April 12 in Academic Building V, room 112. The event is free and open to the public.
Author of "Mirage: Florida and the Vanishing Water of the Eastern, U.S.," Barnett will lead a discussion about Florida's water supply as explored in this recently published book. The topic is relevant, as Florida faces an unprecedented crisis in freshwater supply.
Barnett's appearance is co-sponsored by Audubon of Southwest Florida and Collier County Audubon. The annual meeting will precede Barnett's presentation.
