FGCU Small Business Development Center Presents Free Seminar in Immokalee
FORT MYERS, FL - Florida Gulf Coast University Small Business Development Center presents "Small Business Financial Opportunities for Rural Florida," a free seminar, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, May 8 at Immokalee Career & Service Center, 750 S. 5th St. in Immokalee. The seminar provides entrepreneurs and small business owners with training and technical information needed to launch or expand their businesses. It is suitable for businesses seeking capital and for pre-venture entrepreneurs in need of startup funding.
Topics discussed include small business financing: the process, business plan, lending options, financial statements and document preparation.
This seminar and others like it will be held around the state through a grant from the Bank of America Charitable Foundation. Locations were chosen from towns designated as Enterprise Zones or from a predominantly rural county (one with less than 100 people per square mile). The tour is supported by a 38-foot RV dubbed the SBDC Mobile Assistance Center, which is available for tours.
The Florida Small Business Development Center Network and Bank of America sponsor the free seminar.
