Southwest Florida Small Business Resource Network Hosts
"Government Agency Assistance for Small Business" at Monthly Networking Event
FORT MYERS, FL - The Southwest Florida Small Business Resource Network (SBRN) holds its monthly "Network After Five" event, 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday, May 15 at International Design Center, 10800 Corkscrew Road in Estero. The event is a monthly meeting for the Southwest Florida SBRN sponsored by Florida Gulf Coast University's Small Business Development Center.
Meeting theme this month is "Government Agency Assistance for Small Business." Experts from government agencies in Tampa and Miami will be on hand to discuss services available from the Internal Revenue Service, U.S. Small Business Administration, Florida Department of Financial Services, Florida Department of Revenue, and the Career and Service Center of Fort Myers.
Other organizations planning to be on hand include SCORE (Counselors to America's Small Business) and the Lee County Economic Development Office. Senator Bill Nelson will also be sending a representative.
Facilitator for the evening is Warren Baucom, Business Assistance Specialist from Lee County's Economic Development Office.
Members and guests will have an opportunity to share and learn how others have succeeded financially in supporting the small business community.
Deadline for registration is May 13. Cost for the event is $15 per person for hors d'oeuvres, with cash bar available.
