FGCU School of Nursing Hosts Journalist and Author Suzanne Gordon June 25
FORT MYERS, FL - Florida Gulf Coast University School of Nursing Tau Zeta Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International invites the public to a lecture and workshop presented by award-winning journalist and author Suzanne Gordon 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 25 in the Student Union ballroom.
Gordon is the author and editor of 12 books. She has written for The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Philadelphia Inquirer, Washington Post, American Prospect, Atlantic Monthly, Toronto Globe and Mail, Toronto Star and numerous other publications. She is currently co-editing a series of books for Cornell University Press on the Culture and Politics of Health Care Work.
Gordon is also a popular lecturer and past commentator for CBS Radio and Public Radio International's "Marketplace" program. She is a visiting professor at the University of Maryland School of Nursing and assistant adjunct professor at the University of California, San Francisco School of Nursing. In addition, she has co-authored a play titled "Bedside Manners," that deals with nurse/doctor relationships.
R.S.V.P. deadline is June 17. The cost for students with ID is $30. Active members pay $50, and non-active members pay $60. The cost after May 25 is $75. A 3.5 continuing education unit (CEU) is offered at the lecture.
