FGCU Sponsors Courses in Chinese Language and Culture; Classes Begin Aug. 23
FORT MYERS, FL - The Institute for Chinese Studies at Florida Gulf Coast University sponsors courses in Chinese language and culture to everyone ages 6 through adult beginning Aug. 23. Classes will be held 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. every Saturday, Aug. 23 through Dec. 13 in Academic Building III. Classes follow the University's semester schedule.
All classes now include free Tai Chi instruction. Children's classes include Chinese folk songs and dances.
The Southwest Florida Chinese Language School is a non-profit organization devoted to making instruction in Chinese language and culture available to all interested persons, regardless of age or race. Instruction is available to adults, children and families.
The mission of the school is to promote understanding of and competence in Mandarin Chinese language and greater understanding of an appreciation for Chinese culture.
