FGCU Continuing Education and Off Campus Programs Presents "The Psychobiology of Trauma," Human Trafficking Symposium Series

WHO FGCU Continuing Education and Off-Campus Programs and Center for Public and Social Policy, in partnership with Lee County Sheriff's Office, for the public

WHAT "The Psychobiology of Trauma," second session in a series of free continuing education programs offering practical guidelines for practitioners and the general public seeking a more in-depth understanding of issues and actions related to human trafficking. Teresa Descilo, MSW, CTS, executive director at Trauma Resolution Center in Miami, is the
presenter for this session.

WHEN 8 a.m. to noon, Thursday, Sept. 18

WHERE Sugden Welcome Center

WHY Participants will learn to:
•     Discuss an overview of the psychobiology of trauma
•     Describe the impact that the psychobiology of trauma has on the brain, behavior and body
•     Describe what constitutes effective treatment for those who are traumatized
