FGCU Holds Teacher Certification Workshop Oct. 28;
TIP is Accepting Applications for Spring 2009 Cohort

WHAT "Florida Teacher Certification Workshop" and "TIP Information Session"
WHEN 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 28
WHERE Whitaker Hall, room 131
WHY Participants will learn how to become fully certified teachers in Florida. The workshop discusses several paths to certification, including teacher training programs, individual coursework and state teacher exams. Candidates who hold bachelor's degrees may apply for course-by-course certification or may opt for the Teacher Immersion Program (TIP). The TIP application deadline is Nov. 1.
