FGCU Florida Institute of Government Presents Workshops on Leadership and Management Skills, March 5
FORT MYERS, FL - The Florida Institute of Government at Florida Gulf Coast University offers two professional development workshops designed to help leaders and managers understand the effects they have on the people they lead, 8:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., Thursday, March 5 in FGCU Lutgert Hall, Room 4201. Lorna Kibbey is facilitator for both workshops.
Beginning at 8:30 a.m., "Leading in Difficult Times," will teach participants how to effectively manage change in difficult times: analyze ways to reduce gossip and rumors, discover how to increase job satisfaction, evaluate the true value of change, and draft a personal plan for improving work life and the lives of employees. Cost for this workshop is $69 (includes continental breakfast).
The second workshop follows at 1 p.m. with "The People Side of Leading." This seminar is for leaders and managers who are looking for ways to become a better boss by taking it to the next level. Participants will learn specific qualities that are shared by great leaders and get tips on how to develop those traits. Cost for this workshop is $69 (includes snack and beverage).
