FGCU Hosts "Second Annual Greenprint: 2009 Legislative Update"
FORT MYERS, FL - Florida Gulf Coast University's Continuing Education and Off-Campus Programs, in collaboration with The Southwest Florida Chapter American Institute of Architects, presents the "Second Annual Greenprint: 2009 Legislative Update," to provide an update on the recent Florida legislative session, 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 24 in the Student Union ballroom. The event is open to the public.
Speakers include State Senator Garrett Richter and State Representatives Gary Aubuchon and Matt Hudson. Each will provide legislative updates and highlight particular areas of interest to the planning, design, and building professions. President of the Chamber of Southwest Florida Steve Tirey will moderate the event.
Registration and continental breakfast is 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Continuing Education and Off-Campus Programs will provide two contact hours (pending) for architects through the American Institute of Architects, and planners through the American Institute of Certified Planners. Certificates of attendance will be available for designers, landscape architects, general contractors and other professionals, which they may self-submit to their state and/or their national organization. Partial credit will not be given.
Cost for two contact hours is $35 for professionals (CE credit hours) before June 17, $40 for professionals (CE credit hours) after June 17. General admission cost is $25 before June 17, $35 after June 17. Cost for students with ID and no contact hours is $15.
