FGCU Small Business Development Center Sponsors Southwest Florida Small Business Workshop

FORT MYERS, FL - Florida Gulf Coast University Small Business Development Center, together with The Hispanic Institute at Hodges University and the Southwest Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce sponsor a small business, bilingual workshop 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Sept. 26 at Cape Coral Redevelopment Agency, 447 Cape Coral Pkwy East, Suite 108 in Cape Coral.

Topics to be discussed:

•     Starting a New Business: Challenges and Decisions - Speaker: Luis Bernal, Consulting Director, HispanicWise Business and Communications

•     Legal Forms of Business: Local, State and Federal - Speaker: Michelle P. Macias, All Around Bookkeeping and Tax Services

•     Doing Business With the Government - Speaker: Millie Class, DBE Assistant, FGCU Small Business Development Center

•     Small Business Lending - Speaker: Harry Looknanan, CBA, FGCU Small Business Development Center

The workshop focuses on how to access these programs, types of programs available, eligibility, program criteria, where to apply and how the programs might help.
