Renaissance Academy Hosts Summer Foreign Film Discussion Series

FORT MYERS, FL - The Renaissance Academy of Florida Gulf Coast University announces a summer Foreign Film Discussion Series presenting five award-winning foreign films. The series includes an introduction of each of the films before the viewing and an opportunity for discussion afterwards.

The films will be shown Sundays June 6, 13, 27, July 11, 25 at 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at FGCU's Naples Center located at 1010 Fifth Avenue South in Naples. Suggested donation for each film is $5.

The first film on Sunday, June 6 is "The Sweet Hereafter" (Canada, 1997, NR). A small community is torn apart by a tragic accident. This film analyses grief and the aftermath of tragedy with honesty and precision.
