FGCU Small Business Development Center Offers Tax Tips and Advice for 2010 at Monthly Networking Event Sept. 16
FORT MYERS, FL - Members of the Southwest Florida Small Business Resource Network hosts a small business accounting presentation, "Tax Tips for 2010," 5:30 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 16 at the Holiday Inn Fort Myers Airport at Town Center, 9931 Interstate Commerce Drive, Fort Myers. Florida Gulf Coast University's Small Business Development Center sponsors the local Southwest Florida SBRN Chapter.
Recent legislation and its impact on taxes for small business is the topic this month. Discussions include the Hire Act and some effects of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and related legislation. The panel discussion also includes ideas on tax savings before year-end. Attendees are encouraged to bring questions for panel discussion.
Hosts for the evening are Michael Willis, CPA, CPCU; Marie Grasmeier, CPA, CMP; Fred Tenorio of Ball, Shanaman & Tenorio; and Melvin Dell, EA of Dell Financial Group, LLC.
SBRN members' cost for the event is $15 per person, which includes hors d'oeuvres. Guests and unaffiliated small business owners pay $20 per person.
Members and guests will have the opportunity to participate in the Resource Network's monthly Network After Five social event where members network among themselves and exchange ideas for growing their businesses.
