FGCU Renaissance Academy Offers "Archaeology and the Biblical Record" Lecture Series

FORT MYERS, FL - The Renaissance Academy of Florida Gulf Coast University announces the start of its winter/spring 2012 History, Law & Government lecture program with a presentation by Bernard Alpert, chief archaeologist at Tel Marisha, Israel, in conjunction with the Israeli Department of Antiquities; and Fran Alpert, a lecturer and guide in Israel. "Archaeology and the Biblical Record" is a three-part lecture series to be held on Wednesdays, Jan. 25, Feb. 1, and Feb. 8 at 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., at the Academy's 1010 5th Avenue South, Naples location. Among the Renaissance Academy's offerings are affordable, non-credit single lectures, short courses, day trips, computer classes, film series, life enrichment classes, writing workshops, travel abroad programs and other special events. There are no exams or grades, just learning for the joy of learning with friends, neighbors and peers. Course fees are typically $25 per lecture, and provide access to Academy programs located at 12 locations throughout Collier, Lee and Charlotte counties.
