FGCU's Theatre Lab Opens "Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead," Feb. 15

FORT MYERS, FL - Florida Gulf Coast University's Theatre Lab invites the public to the opening of "Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead," written by Bert V. Royal and directed by FGCU Assistant Professor Tyler Layton, Wednesday, Feb. 15 to Sunday, Feb. 19; and Wednesday, Feb. 22 to Sunday, Feb. 26 in the Theatre Lab located at the Arts Complex.

Performances are Wednesday through Saturday at 8 p.m., and a matinee performance on Sunday at 2 p.m.

The play centers on a teenage boy who questions the existence of an afterlife when his dog dies unexpectedly. Drug use, suicide, eating disorders, teen violence, rebellion and sexual identity collide and careen toward an ending that is both haunting and hopeful.
