FGCU Small Business Development Center's Suzanne Specht Selected as "Women Making History Honoree"
FORT MYERS, FL - Suzanne Specht, assistant director and certified business analyst with the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Florida Gulf Coast University, was recently selected as a woman making history honoree from the American Business Women's Association (ABWA) Neapolitan Chapter. She will be honored along with two other nominees at the 2012 Women Making History luncheon, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Friday, March 16 at the Naples Hilton.
Each year, the organization selects three local female leaders in celebration of Women's History Month who demonstrate their extraordinary qualities in leadership and community advocacy serving as role models to women in business.
"We are extremely proud that Suzanne has received this honor," said Dan Regelski, director of the Small Business Development Center. "She is a dedicated employee with drive and passion for helping small business owners reach their potential, and exemplifies the qualities of an outstanding person giving tirelessly to her clients, staff and FGCU."
Specht is a 15-year employee at FGCU and holds a Master in Business Administration. She is a certified FastTrac facilitator with the Kauffman Foundation, and is designated as a certified business communicator.
This year's luncheon is emceed by Lois Thome, anchor for WinkNews, and a past honoree. A special keynote address by the ABWA national president is also on the agenda this year.
