Credit: Eligibility Requirments
In order to go on the study tour to China for credit, you
must be properly admitted to Florida Gulf Coast University
and be a student in good standing. Special exceptions may
be made for educators, lawyers, students in good standing
at other colleges and universities, or other professionals
participating strictly for educational purposes. These exceptions
require permission of the instructor.
Every prospective participant must apply for approval to
take part in the tour. An application is included on this
website, or is available from the FGCU College of Professional
Studies. For any student seeking graduate credit, the student
must be enrolled and properly admitted into a graduate program.
If you have questions about your eligibility, contact Dr.
Seay at FGCU, (239) 590-7830, or pseay@fgcu.edu.
In addition to the University and program requirements,
there are other requirements which must be met. You must
have a current, valid passport. In addition, you will need
a special visa to enter China. Information about the visa
will be provided to you approximately 2 months prior to
the program. If you have any health problems or concerns,
see your physician before agreeing to take this tour. Medical
insurance is required by the university for participation
in this program and is included in the total fee package.
