Gender Against Men, Refugee Law Project. To be shown Thursday, February 23, 4:00pm -5:00pm

Gender Against Men exposes the hidden world of sexual and gender-based violence against men in the conflicts of the Great Lakes Region. The film demonstrates how male identities are under attack and how rape when used as a weapon of war affects husbands, fathers, brothers and the community.

The film is a production of the Refugee Law Project, Faculty of Law, Makerere University. It was the winner of best documentary at the Kenya International Film Festival in 2009.

This short experimental documentary explores the private, emotional journey of the film-makers to the city of Hiroshima in 2008, in which they reflect on the continuing legacy of the atomic bomb.
